OPEN CALL

The Commons invites Outer Cape artists to participate in our Spring Open Call Show, “Guts & Glory”.

This show embodies the strength and beauty, struggle and triumph, and fame and splendor of the world. Guts & Glory will be on exhibit in The Commons exhibition hallway as well as online, so artists will be asked to submit both physical and digital representations of their work.

All artwork conveys a story, whether intended or not. We ask the artist to categorize their work in terms of a symbolic intention of being in the likes of “GUTS” or “GLORY” and please stay tuned to our Guts & Glory, The Art of Storytelling series that will be happening this spring.

Submission requirements

Space is limited for this show and not all submissions are guaranteed to be included in the exhibition. We will try to accommodate as many pieces as possible but priority will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis :

• Drop off: Monday, March 29th and Tuesday March 30th from 10am-4pm at The Commons

• Size: Two-dimensional work should not exceed 36” square. Three-dimensional work should fit within a 14 x 14” area or be ready to hang on the wall. *Submissions exceeding these size requirements will not be accepted.

• All work must be ready to hang or install.  

• *Please note all information regarding your artwork will be submitted digitally via email

• Please email create@commonsptown.org digital image in JPG, GIF, or PNG with GUTS & GLORY in the subject line

• Proceeds: All sales of artwork must be conducted privately by the artist or through a representing gallery. Provincetown Commons will not serve as a broker for sales and will not ask for any commission.
