I am a plein air Impressionist painter and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I have worked with Hilda Neily, Margaret McWethy, Mary Giammarino, Joanette Egeli, and Peter Hocking. “I try to capture my impression and feeling in that moment and base my art on the shifting light and color placement. Nature has such variation and intensity of colors and I am in love with the spectacular contrasts of sand, sea, sky and the unique, brilliant light here.”
It wasn’t until my last child headed out the door that I pursued art. I earned a certificate in Fine Arts at Parsons School of Design, and took my first plein air oil workshop in 2016 with master painter John Clayton, through the Cape School of Art. I am a member of Provincetown Art Association and Museum. and my painting Wharf was accepted to the 2019 Members’ Juried Exhibit at PAAM.
