Film Launch and Discussion of Award-Winning Documentary Mom, I Have Something to Tell You
Join Rick Miller, LICSW, psychotherapist, author, and director, for the debut of his award-winning documentary, Mom, I Have Something to Tell You, on Friday, May 9th, starting at 5:30pm at The Provincetown Commons, 46 Bradford Street, Provincetown.
The 30-minute documentary explores the unique and life-changing bond that exists between women and their gay sons through interviews that inspire audiences with these stories about acceptance and love. The screening will be followed by a discussion and Q&A with Miller, who is the executive director of the nonprofit Gay Sons and Mothers and the director and executive producer of the film.
Miller was one of the first clinicians to teach and speak in mental-health circles about gay male sexuality, and his upcoming book, Opening Up: A Communication Workbook for Male Couples is available online and in bookstores.
Mom, I Have Something to Tell You has received the LGBTQ+ theme recognition award, the viewer impact award, and the inspirational award at the Best Shorts Competition.
The event is to benefit The Provincetown Commons and there is a suggested donation of $20. Refreshments will be served.
