As a girl who grew up on Cape Cod, I have always had a love of the ocean, and it's surroundings!! Constantly exploring waterways, and beaches. It was a good place to grow up, and wonderful place to be imaginative. It was an extremely powerful experience for me, and one that stays with me today. As life would have it, a lot of us end up seeking life in other places. I ended up living in Maine, for most of my adult life. One day however, I felt the need to return to Cape Cod. I have no formal training as an artist. Both my father, and brother, had art running in their blood. I thought I didn't have a stitch running in mine. But come to find out I was wrong!! After a lengthy recovery from a surgery, I started having a pulling sense of place. I picked up a paintbrush, and just dove in. I am a brain that needs constant creativity. I teach myself, through watching others. There are many artists that offer online classes. This is where I learn about technique, color, and composition.
